OH, For the love of pets...ooops, Pete!
Everyday tump has something new...
This really is, 2008 again!
(I may need to go daily)
This article originally languished on my
computer...I didn't think I would post it, but a slap in the face
occurred when tump brought out wine, steaks, and water. He literally
helped with and gave me the push to post this article.
The Tump and Upstate New York...
After around 1 hour of searching online
for articles about Donald 'the joke' Tump and Upstate New York, it
appears that he's visited to raise money and that's about it. By the
way, I've now decided to call that orange imbecile, tump(it's a small
mound of earth—go ahead look it up...you can add the 'r', plus it
keeps away his trolls/bots)
I looked for the New York State
Fair---Nothing(the Clintons stopped there and spent time in
Skaneateles, NY in 1999)
http://www.syracuse.com/living/index.ssf/2015/08/this_week_in_history_-_a_clinton_family_vacation.html
Albany, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo,
Schenectady and even Skaneateles(this area's answer to the Hamptons)
not much has appeared.
I searched for Tump and the jobs that
have left the area near me---Nothing. The closest I came was an
article talking about the recent closing of Carrier(in another
state), not for the Syracuse area Carrier which laid off people
starting in 2003, back then I think he was praising Hillary.
There is no website to buy Tump
Steaks, or Tump water or Tump magazine or Tump vodka.
I suspect that Tump is the typical NYC
person who has no clue that life exists outside the Hudson Valley.
Now let me first say I do not love where I live.(I love certain
things but hate others...but that's for another post). I've
criticized this area. I refer to it as Disturbia on good days and a
whole slew of derogatory terms on bad.
But when a man is running for president
saying he will 'make America great again' but hasn't made his
backyard great, for whatever reason, my blood boils, especially when
he sells(this includes his suits and ties) products that ARE NOT from
his supposed home state.(there's actually a whole movement to buy New
York)
Upstate NY is hurting for jobs. The area
I live has lost numerous jobs. Let's put this in business terms in
Disturbia there are so few jobs that you can get away with paying
close to minimum wage(if not actually paying minimum wage...my former
job) and get people to work for you.
If the Tump decided to turn his
'winning' attitude toward upstate he would be considered it's savior.
He could've easily stepped in to buy empty houses and rent(at low
rates) to poor folks so they could get a hand up. He could have built
an 'huge' entertainment complex(the county just built
one) which only has competition from the Oneida Casino. He could have
had a finger in the mall, there is talk of building a hotel, hmm, who
has hotels. He could have owned a small newspaper/printing company
which went out of business. Could have bought up some vacant factory
to manufacture his ties or whatever. There are farms where he could
grow his own brand of Kobe beef for his steaks. There are the Finger
Lakes wineries. I'm sure there are springs where he could get water.
But he chose the following for the press
conference the other night:
The steaks came from West Palm Beach,
Florida(I'm seeing a trend here...perhaps part 2 of this article)
The wine from Charlottesville, Virginia
and it was his son's(ah, yes another rich trick to hide income...I
know using the available laws...still slimy)
The water-- Tump Ice came from Scotia or
Red Hook, New York or Stockbridge, Vermont and the water served at
the presser was from Willington, Connecticut.
I'm sure that those places are nice but
what about using your “home” state products? Yes, the water does
list New York areas but it also lists Vermont and Connecticut.
His suits and ties are made in China or
Mexico(I worked with a man who used to make men's shorts(boxers) but
the business closed).
His hats are made in California despite
some claims that they were made in China. But even the article
mentioned that a lot of the workers are recent immigrants.(the
article states they are legal)
Now don’t get me wrong I'm not going
anti-rich, heck, I'd like to be one, but I hope I wouldn't be slimy.
I consider living in one state to avoid the taxes of another while
proclaiming your home state is another, slimy, IE living in Florida
to avoid taxes but claiming New York as your home state. Just man-up
and say it proudly, like Rush Limbaugh has, he left New York because
of taxes and rarely visits the state because of taxes.
http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2011/02/11/judge_out_of_state_ny_property_owners_must_pay_ny_income_taxOnce again, I know it is legal, just slimy.
I actually ended up on a socialist
website to for this article and to my (pleasant) surprise they seemed
to speak the truth...this election season has brought me to places I
never thought, and having to get my news from VERY unexpected
sources.
