The reports of my death have been
greatly exaggerated...
Nor was this an extended stay in a
re-education camp. Or a gulag.
In this hiatus I took, I got a little
hooked on the instant gratification of Twitter(@mjkatz)
If you are one of my tweeps dropping by
the following may make sense or not.(stay with me though because this
could be fun)
I stepped back to examine my life as
Glenn Beck says 'it will make you miserable' and that you should
examine all your opinions(well, he sort-of says that)...
Indeed it does make you miserable but
you do emerge knowing what you believe...you have a clarity in your
life.
I've learned I believe in God and he
does have a master plan.
I believe this country that was founded
in 1776/1791 was founded by men who did the best they could, they
were products of their times and what seems horrible to us, was
common to them(how many of had horrible hair in our teens...see,
looking back we were products of the times. Now we look back and
think 'what the heaven was I thinking'--the style, etc was that era),
a better example would be our parents/grandparents(they grew up in
vastly different eras to now and sometimes say wildly inappropriate
things)
I believe I am a
Libertarian/Independent. Some of you are now cowering or glowering at
me. Or you are busy unfollowing me on Twitter. Oh, well.
I’ve reached a point in my life where
I don't want all these rules and laws. I’ve also reached a point in
my life where I don’t care who you marry or sleep with(this is no
time for you show me yours and I'll show you mine... neither of us
wants to see me...ewwww). I say this with one caveat don’t force
any religion to bend to you if they don’t believe in your lifestyle
IE a Muslim Mosque or a Christian Church marrying a gay couple.
(Please--its their belief respect their right to believe as they do)
I also think we need to start having
fun hence the change of the title of this blog which was Independent
Kitty is now The Marie Jo show.(I’ve finally found my ego)
Let me introduce myself I'm the MJ part
of mjkatz as in Marie Jo
The Katz was my Baby Girl(she was also an MJ) who is now in
heaven, ShadyLady has taken over the katz part of this equation. I
couldn't get MJ & Katz at the time and this has sort of stuck.
As you'll see in the coming posts
Twitter is actually better for me, it's only 140 characters so I have
to be laser focused on what I want to say.
As for how often I'll post..ahh, let's
say it maybe weekly? Follow @themariejoshow for when this blog is
updated, is the best I can offer. I've left the former blog posts here
to show my past opinion, didn't feel the need to 'memory hole' my
past.
Let's have some fun because God love
those of you who can do politics everyday and stay sane but, I can't
