One of my last comments got me thinking, the one about that conservatives/republicans should get younger and hipper. I got to wondering if there are any famous conservatives out there(they seem to be an endangered species...hmm I wonder if )
Well look what I found http://www.davepye.com/2009/01/celebrity-republicans-and-famous-conservatives/ ( I'm not sure who this guy is but this list gives me hope)
Click through the list I'm sure there is at least one name that would appeal to younger voters. I mean come on guys stop with the country music.
Overheard in some brainstorming session for conservatives 'Let's see what music is popular with you urban and suburban kids. Country, great it shows the common man we're just like him' NOT!! I mean play something you can dance to like Presidents Clinton and Obama did.
Come on all you celebrity conservatives where were you during the last election. That other group held concerts to attract the young vote. Alot of the names on that about list are of people I thought had a back bone and weren't afraid. Come out of the conservative closet we need you to get the kids before it is too late for this country. Most kids spend entire days in brainwashing sessions(school/college). Believe me I know I left school a Demoncat, er, I mean Democrat.
Here's my story(it's heart warming, o-voter tears).(cue wavey lines and that music) That is until one fateful when I forgot to wear my watch, so I put on AM(WABC) radio to hear the time. I got called away for something and came back to hear this man speaking, saying things that only most of us could think. I learned that I was agreeing with a man that was supposed to be a villian, and quite possibly evil personified, at least that was what I was taught, he needs only one name Rush(but I'll use the two out of respect Rush Limbaugh). Just as I was 'taught' President Reagan, Newt Gingrich, et al were evil. I've spent years undoing what I was 'taught' more like indoctrinated/brainwashed.
So if you know you appeal to the kids(kitties) please step forward. We have to make a change, we can believe in.(So I'm a quasi-plagarizing stealing the O-voter theme)
Google "1940's German Youth Movement" and watch this and tell me you're not creeped out
Sound familiar.(the last one just tickles me but it kinda fits)

Speaking of that time that was also a time when people were made to be the same size. Quit it with the picking on fat people. We know we are fat but when you work(most of us do 8+ hours a day with only maybe 2 weeks vacation(if we're lucky, unlike like you dolts in DC), some of us are on our feet for all those hours(which means the last thing we want to do is have some size zero tell us to stand and breath, deep and PAY for it), rush kids(kittens) off to activities, cook, clean and try to have a social life(keep up with friends and family, maybe have a hobby or start a side business) it leaves little time to bounce around like a jumping jack.
Sorry it just had to come out

Oh, by-the-way, the libs are scared and yapping about talk radio and conservatives shooting down(swift boating) the 'death' bill(HR 3200 also known as the health care bill)
My did I have a good laugh when I heard the car program was out of money and YOU people want this healthcare bill, they can't even fund the Cash 4 Clunkers. Picture this you're old and you need your heart medicine but can't have it because funds have dried up.
Growling, snapping and trying to overwhelm the system

Ad revenue
Now there's a sexy title if I ever heard one!
Recently while doing my very own version of Clean House I uncovered some 1980's Time magazines(President Reagan era to be precise)
I noticed the ads for cigarettes and alcohol/beer they looked so out of place. I guess I have been conditioned to not expect them, since all media got on their high horse and refused to print them. Although I do believe I saw a Newport ad recently on the back of a mag.
But, back to my point, print is suffering from loss of ads and I do feel for them however they did it to themselves. First they decided what the American people can and cannot view.(the children can't see ads for cigarettes, or whatever, it makes them want to smoke,or whatever...good lord if we did everything an ad told us whoa, what a world) Second, they decided to have a war on the common man(anything us commoners like must be bad)(although, could the conservatives/republicans find some better music, I mean country is OK, but, let's get a little younger and hipper please. Just a hint there)and third they decided they should cover the President like a banana republic would.
Just imagining a world where we did everything an ad told us to(helloooo, all those male ads)
