We cover Obama’s press conference our way.
I hate to tell him rich people employ me so with his taxes (or proposed taxes) the board of directors at one of my jobs (I have total of 3) decided not to fix the presses (yes I “sort of” work at a newspaper…most people treat me like a pariah because I listen to Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck) so my hours went from 40 to 34 that 9-13 dollars is long gone and now he wants me to pay for health insurance. If this goes through I will have to lose a paycheck a month if I have to pay for health insurance (that I won’t be able to use because you can’t get a doctor here… I feel like a broken record)
Tax relief he has to be kidding he gives me either 9 or 13 dollars in my paycheck while he gives senior citizens and social security recipients $250.
Now he tells us a sob story about people who have hospital bills at least they can get to see a doctor!!
Government never accomplishes anything; it just screws it up more. Government always spends money they get raises every year no matter what I’m on pay hold right now I do not want the gubmint to control my life, my car, my house or anything go preach to the o-voters they’ll fall for anything
Here’s my take on why the rush.
Why the rush because he’s afraid some one will find “the” birth certificate (yeah, I know I’m a kook but, hey, if it was me I’d put the damn thing on t-shirts and make a few bucks and make people look stupid)
Oh and by the way President the reasons doctors do redundant tests is lawsuits, we need tort reform not this.

It occurred to me this morning why “journalists” hate bloggers so much, because we do their job for free and most of the time, we do it better(imagine if you offered to pay me, I’d do back flips)

Health unsurance or let's tax the kids some more
Ah, the joys of healthcare in America. Now don’t get me wrong we do have the best healthcare facilities in the world.
But do I have a little story to tell you, now, I usually don’t get personal but it is relevant.
I don’t want health insurance, at least not what I can have.
For the past few years, I have lived without health insurance, which was not really my choice. I do not want as I call it hangnail coverage and that is what most of it is.
First, what I do need is a doctor. Dr. Marc Siegel from Fox News is right we don’t have a problem with healthcare we have a problem with a lack of primary/family/general practice doctors(his article from April says it all here's the link http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123993462778328019.html#articleTabs%3Darticle )
Here in Disturbia (as I like to call it) doctors are way too busy to see patients (as I see it) actually, most are not accepting new patients you may ask why, well I believe because we have our own socialist system. Here most people are either ex-autoworkers, ex-government/city of Syracuse workers, ex-union members, and my favorite Medicare, Medicaid recipients.
There is nothing more frustrating than knowing you are sick and not being able to get a doctor.
I’ve had more run-ins with receptionists over the phone, one is particularly memorable because the first question is always what insurance do you have and if you say none you may not even get to the next point (they hang up very quick) of asking if I could pay cash at which point she seemed dumbfounded. Then since I know what is wrong there is the whole I do not have nor need a primary care doctor (PCP) (yeah, PCP … primary care physician). I see no point for one if I know what is wrong and it is just more of my hard earned money for someone to say yes you have that and you need to see this type of doctor(yes I am still a bit cryptic)
Why take cash when you can get more from the insurance companies.
I honestly do not want health insurance because calling doctors and being told the doctor is not accepting patients is just a waste.
But under Obama I will be penalized with either a tax of around 2000 dollars and my employer will also be penalized. (NY already does this to people who actually can pay their hospital bills by tacking on a fee)
Now for the extra kick…I have a small(micro would be a better term) business so should I want help(human help)(it’s only me and the cats right now) does that mean I would have to provide health insurance(right now my “employees” don’t have much in the way of benefits except all the POUNCE they can eat and of course catnip)
I have looked into getting my own policy.(HA!) I even had the insurance book where you technically could choose a plan. Well I choose two, one that covered everything I use and one that was what I truly want catastrophic type i.e. you break something it kicks in but doesn‘t cover medication and doctor visits. I was told sorry you can’t have that in NY (Glenn Beck had me hysterical because he had it happen to him too… more on him later)
Senator McCain did run on the platform of allowing us to go get whatever plan we wanted (the reason I voted for him plus he had Sarah Palin)
Glenn Beck had a show with John Stossel and Penn Gillette and they were talking about healthcare and John Stossel showed a piece from his special about how in Canada they ration care but pets can be seen immediately. How many times I have said this to my employees(the cats) "I can take you to see your doctor pretty much at the drop of a hat and goodness only knows if you need emergency care I can get that too (all I need is either cash, check or charge) but me “sorry the doctor is not accepting new patients at this time”"
